Every year Navaratri is being celebrated as a 10 day festival with Chandikahomam, Udayaasthamana pooja, alangaara pooja, annadaanam, neyy vilakk, vidyarambham as well as arangetram (debut on-stage performance classical dance and art form) are conducted as offerings. As a part of Navaratri festival, a grand classical art and dance festival is also organized. This temple is ran by Melamon Madam and residents here have created a committee namely Mookambika Sevasangham.

During Navaraatri festival, Chandikahomam, Devibhaagavata recitation etc. are held. At night procession of Mookambika Devi on Saraswati Mandapam for seva starts. After Ashtavadhaana seva, the procession is initiated back and following kashayam and poomoodal, the doors of inner temples are closed. As minor deities, there are five-faced unni ganapati and veerabhadran. For poojas to alleviate distresses from enemies, offering in the form of muttarukkal, bhasmaarchana and bhasmabhishekam to Veerabhadra are popular here. For udayasthamana pooja, 18 poojas are held. Proceeding poojas in the order of Mahakali, Mahalekshmi, Mahasarswati , a ritual called kottipaadi seva is conducted in keshadi paadantham and paadaati keshantham approaches.

All poojas, rituals and mantras here are in fact equal to and the same as that of Kollur Mookambika temple. Also, these fall in line with what was suggested by Aadi Shankarachaarya. Considering him to be on revered tutelage status, all the Poojas and rituals are conducted only after guru pushpaanajali and aarati are held for Adishankara. Getting an opportunity to offer prayers in this Saraswati temple where countless devotes visit every year is itself a great blessing.

Thousands are reaching here daily for darshan. Even a single darshan is considered poorvapunya.
